on Strong Basic Research and Clinical Studies

• 2Docs formulas are carefully formulated to include ingredients proven effective in clinical trials and research studies.
  
  
• Our formulas have been carefully balanced across the product line, so that pets do not get an excessive amount of any ingredient or an inadequate amount of important substances known to be important for balance in the body.
  
  
• We stringently avoid a “shotgun” approach in which every possible ingredient known to be useful for a condition is included in a formula. (This approach often leads to imbalances in an overall supplement program.)
  
  
• 2Docs maintains deep knowledge of recent results from research studies around the world. We use Medline and other basic database searches, closely follow periodicals from leaders in nutrition, access research online, and maintain strong personal contacts with knowledgeable authorities. We revise formulas in order to improve them, when appropriate.

• 2Docs uses only the purest human-grade ingredients available — often these are USP grade or pharmaceutical grade ingredients.
  
  
• We obtain our raw materials from reliable suppliers who are dedicated to providing the highest-quality ingredients.
  
  
• 2Docs formulas contain ingredients of guaranteed or standardized potency (whenenver possible).
  
  
• Our formulas incorporate coenzyme forms of vitamins (whenever possible). Coenzyme form vitamins may cost over 10 times more than conventional forms (i.e., non-coenzyme forms) used by most vitamin manufacturers. Coenzyme vitamins are the forms that are best used in the body (and are usually found in foods). Coenzyme forms we use include thiamin diphosphate (B-1), riboflavin 5’-phosphate (B-2), pyridoxal 5’-phosphate (B-6), methylcobalamin (B-12), pantethine (B-5), & folinic acid (folate).
  
  
• 2Docs formulas use carriers that are optimally recognized and utilized in the body (whenever possible). We use Krebs cycle nutrients (citrates, alpha ketoglutarates, succinates, fumarates, & malates), amino acid chelates (arginates, glycinates, aspartates, lysinates, etc.), and body-specific carriers (picolinates, polynicotinates, sebacates, etc.), as appropriate. We avoid sulfates, chlorides, carbonates, and oxides.
  
  
• We design formulas to give the body choices by providing minerals associated with several different carriers. (For example, we often both use Krebs Cycle and amino acid carriers). This extra design feature ensures our formulas work most effectively with the body.
  
  
• When a formula contains fatty acids (like Essential Fats for Pets™), we formulate and package it to protect the fatty acids from oxidation both in the bottle and in the body. This may require using a gelcap, Vitamin E, ascorbyl palmitate (fat-soluble Vitamin C), rosemary, or a cellulose-coated tablet (in order to keep out moisture and oxygen).
