2DOCS Approach to Product Formulation
|
III.
MINIMIZING or Eliminating Fillers, Carriers, Excipients, Food Antigens, Preservatives, Coloring Agents, or Other Additives
-
2Docs formulas do not contain wheat, gluten, corn, dairy products, simple sugars, eggs, yeast, preservatives, or artificial colorings or flavorings.
-
Except for a few necessary exceptions, 2Docs formulas do not contain soy, rice, rye, barley, oats, wax, salicylates, or tomatoes.
-
We do not allow the use of dicalcium phosphate, rice powder, or synthetics (such as povidone) as fillers.
-
2Docs avoids using fillers, but when necessary, we only allow the use of USP grade microcrystalline cellulose. We do use desiccated liver (porcine source) to provide a taste animals love.
-
2Docs avoids using any lubricants (with the exception of magnesium stearate/stearic acid which is allowed in small amounts (<2%) when needed for successful manufacturing of tablets).
-
Our manufacturers generally include dessicants (e.g., drying packets) in bottles of capsules and tablets in order to retain product freshness.
IV.
WORKING With Experienced,
Trustworthy Manufacturers and Suppliers
- 2Docs only does business with manufacturing companies that are trustworthy, pay close attention to our guidelines, understand our philosophy (i.e., our approach to formula design and animal health), and have excellent reputations for “good manufacturing practices” (GMPs). Dr. Hank has worked with each of our manufacturers for over 10 years.
- 2Docs formulas are produced by manufacturers of human-grade supplements following FDA’s manufacturing guidelines.

I have been in small animal Veterinary practice for twenty years...
Daniel P. Murray, DVM Green Valley, Arizona
After an exam, our vet recommended 2DOCS Joint Health Formula and Vitamin B-12. She is doing much better. She hasn't fallen down since we started her on the combination.
