Small Pet Essential Fats™ is a unique essential fatty acid formula containing eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) (important usable forms of essential omega-3 fatty acids), gamma linolenic acid (GLA) (an important essential omega-6 fatty acid), and mixed tocotrienols /tocopherols (forms of Vitamin E). The EPA and DHA are derived from marine lipids using a molecular distillation process and the GLA is derived from borage seed oil. The mixed tocotrienols and tocopherols are included in the softgel capsules both to provide antioxidant protection to the polyunsaturated oils and within the body.
